Arrival at Cochin International or Domestic airport / railway station and transfer to Munnar hotel. (Flight / Train details to be advised) Arrive in Munnar. You will visit the tea plantations - The aroma of tea defines the air of Munnar . (Optional – Tea Museum visit to know about the various stages of tea processing (remains closed on Mondays) Check in hotel . Overnight stay.
Today post breakfast, you have a full day to visit Munnar (a town in the Western Ghats). Mattupetty Dam (Optional - Boat ride) near Sunmoon Valley, followed by a visit to Echo Point, Kundala Dam (Optional - Boat ride) and Blossom Park, Eravikulam National Park (Note: Park remains shut from January to April, )The National Park has rich flora and fauna of the region. Return to Hotel. Overnight stay .. (Note: while you are going for local sightseeing, entrance / activity fee is not included).
Post breakfast, check-out from the hotel & drive to Thekkady. Thekkady is a town near Periyar National Park. you will visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary - famous as an elephant and tiger reserve (Optional - Boat ride on Periyar Lake) You can also witness the organic spice plantations tour offers a hands-Featuring a myriad of species of banana, cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, cloves, vanilla, ginger, turmeric etc..
After a sumptuous breakfast, it will be time to travel to Alleppey - known as "the Venice of the East" to enjoy an overnight Houseboat. On arrival, you will proceed to check-in to the houseboats. With meals served on board, the liveliness of the backwater cruise will turn limitless. Overnight stay in the houseboat.
Cochin or Kochi as it is now called, is the commercial capital of the Southern Indian State of Kerala, is sometimes referred as the ‘Queen of the Arabian Sea’. You will visit the Jewish synagogue (the oldest synagogue) located in Mattancherry Jew Town (closed on Friday & Saturday). The Dutch Palace (known as Mattancherry Palace) one of the finest examples of the Kerala style architecture interspersed with colonial influences. The St. Francis Church, one of the oldest churches made by the Europeans. It’s a landmark where the body of late legendry explorer Vasco da Gama was buried. The Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica, the heritage monument and the pride of Kochi (Cochin), is amongst the oldest churches in India. In the evening visit the Chinese fishing net, these are fixed land installations, used for fishing in a unique method.
After breakfast, check-out from the Cochin hotel and drive to Cochin international / domestic airport or railway station to board your flight/train for onward destination. (Flight/Train details to be advised).
